National Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Immunisation Network (NATSIIN)
The National Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Immunisation Network (NATSIIN) is made up of a variety of professions and organisations dealing with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, such as:
- Public Health Medical Officers and Clinic Staff from Aboriginal Medical Services (AMS's)
- representatives from the Australian Indigenous Doctors Association
- Chronic Health Managers from State and Territory affiliates of the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, and
- Immunisation Coordinators from the Australian General Practice Network.
The NATSIIN meets quarterly or out of session as needed to provide advice or clarification on projects/topics regarding immunisation within the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community that are brought before the National Indigenous Immunisation Coordinator (NIIC), either by the National Immunisation Committee or raised by the Indigenous Health focused community.
