Postgraduate study

NCIRS has a range of research opportunities for students and professional trainees. We supervise projects in

• surveillance and epidemiology of vaccine preventable diseases
• disease modelling
• health economic evaluation
• vaccine programs
• special interest groups (e.g. refugees) and
• perceptions/behavioural aspects of immunisation and infectious diseases

Opportunities range from:

• PhD thesis projects
• Masters thesis projects
• undergraduate summer scholarships

We also offer professional placements for public health training programs such as the Masters of Applied Epidemiology (MAE) and the Public Health Officer (PHO) training scheme.
