The University of Sydney is committed to making its web content accessible to all users.

The templates in the University of Sydney's Web Content Management System are designed to be compliant with the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) Web Content Accessibility guidelines. Our templates are designed to meet AA+ ratings, and are therefore compliant with assistive technologies such as screen readers and magnifiers. The template designs allow for key browsing, and template fonts are scalable.

It is policy for University sites to be developed using the W3C AA+ compliant templates. Our Digital and Print Media team held meetings with visually impaired students during the development of the latest template updates to enhance understanding of navigation and usage, with feedback being incorporated in the designs.
